Hotel Review: Dan Eilat Hotel

As someone who lives in a country that doesn’t get a lot of sunlight during winter (that’s Latvia), I was really craving a trip to a place where I could relax, enjoy the sun and feel warm again. Eilat in Israel seemed perfect for it – it is right by the beautiful Red Sea, warm all year round and has decently priced flights from Europe to the new Ramon airport. When I started looking for a hotel to stay at in Eilat, Dan Eilat Hotel immediately caught my eye.

Dan Eilat Hotel is a gorgeous 5 star luxury hotel located in Eilat, Israel. It is a self-contained property that will satisfy everyone – someone looking to work on their tan by the pool or someone looking to have an incredible culinary experience. As part of Israel’s largest luxury hotel chain, it will not disappoint anyone.

Location

Eilat is a very vibrant resort city filled with restaurants, cafes and shops, a lot of which are located within a walking distance from Dan Hotel. The hotel is also conveniently located right by the Red Sea, so it is the perfect location for a sunset walk on the beach or a quick dip in the sea. There are plenty of activities available in the area – you can go to the Red Canyon, Timna park, do snorkeling or diving in the Red Sea etc.

The room

I stayed in one of the newly renovated Terrace rooms. The room is very spacious at 72 square metres, has a very modern and stylish design and includes a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The room itself has a bed as well as a sofa where you can relax and watch TV or enjoy a glass of wine. But, of course, the best thing is the large terrace with a table with chairs on one side and lounge chairs on the other. The room offers wonderful views towards the sea and the pool.

Bedroom

The bed is very large and comfortable and I had a great night’s sleep in it.

You get your complimentary bottles of water, coffee and tea. I couldn’t wait to have the coffee after shooting these photos. And after an early flight it tasted particularly delightful!

Later on I received some complimentary wine, fruit and chocolate and thoroughly enjoyed it all!

The terrace

One thing I looove having in hotel rooms is a balcony. And if is so huge I can sunbath, have a coffee and enjoy views of 3 countries on it, I’ll be up for staying on it all day. The terrace faces the pool and the sea, and offers stunning views of Eilat city in Israel, Aqaba in Jordan and hills in Egypt.

Spend your day dipping in the pool or just relaxing on your terrace enjoying these breathtaking views.

I spent some time reading a book and enjoying the so much needed sunlight on the terrace.

The bathroom

Each Terrace room comes with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. I used it in the evening, and it was the perfect way to end the day of traveling!

Dan Eilat Hotel has a wonderful selection of toiletries, and they include shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, shower cap, sanitary bag, nail file, cotton buds etc – everything you could need during your stay.

The beautiful bathrobe, which I, of course, used and then didn’t want to take off.

Breakfast

The breakfast selection at Dan Hotel Eilat is enormous. You can have anything you want for breakfast starting from fruit, waffles and pastries to cooked vegetables and cheese.

I started off by having some cakes and fruit, and afterwards opted for some vegetables for healthier options.

The amenities

  • Fitness centre
  • SPA
  • Executive lounge
  • WiFi
  • Main pool
  • Relaxation pool

The main pool is perfect for a family. The kids will enjoy the water slide while you enjoy the whirl pool or relax in the sun.

If you’re staying in an Executive room, Terrace room or a Suite, you get complimentary access to the Executive lounge. Located at the 14th floor it has pretty spectacular views. I went there after sunset to have a quick snack, but was soon offered a hot meal by the friendly staff, so I ended up having a soup and some snacks and enjoying a magical view towards Eilat city all beautifully lit up in the dark. The Executive lounge is available to adults 18+ and is open from 8:00 to 20:00.

The atmosphere

The hotel is a wonderful blend of luxury and style. With lots of seating areas and lounges all throughout the hotel, you can find the style that suits your personality the best.

Jungle vibes with water sounds coming from the little waterfall in the background.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Dan Eilat Hotel. It was a little piece of paradise in a warm and sunny place, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an escape from the cold winters in Europe or simply looking for a relaxing holiday by the Red Sea.

I received a complimentary stay at Dan Eilat Hotel in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
